Sign up to join together in Liverpool’s Pride March on Saturday, 30 July. The March, which will take place in-person, is celebratory but it is also a really important opportunity to come together against continuing injustices and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community.
Explore our Pink Brick project
Over the past 40 years the political and societal attitudes towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people have changed beyond recognition. Developed in 2012, The PINKBRICK project charts these changes from the University’s perspective, by looking at official University and Guild records, along with memories of past staff and students.

Stonewall looks back on 50 years of Pride in the UK. In this article, they chart the major moments in LGBTQ+ history since the first Pride in 1972, and ask what still needs to change for LGBTQ+ people, today and in future.
