A new initiative founded by students at the University of Liverpool is aiming to collect food and basic supplies from students and staff on campus which can be distributed to local foodbanks.
Students Supporting Foodbanks are helping to support the local community by collecting food and basic supplies donations in University Square from 10am – 4pm on Monday 6th June, Tuesday 7th June, Wednesday 8th June and Thursday 9th June.
Commenting on the donation drive a spokesperson from the ‘Students Supporting Foodbanks’ initiative said: “Foodbanks need our support now more than ever in tackling food poverty and we would be honoured if you could help us and donate to our first food collection.”
