Students travelling to, from, and within the Liverpool City Region are urged to check public transport services before they travel, ahead of planned strike action by members of the Unite and GMB unions.
The University understands that the action means Arriva North West will not be able to run services from Wednesday 20 July, for a continuous, indefinite period.

Students should also be advised that the RMT union are planning further action in July and August. The action means that Merseyrail will be running limited services on Wednesday 27 July, with impact yet to be determined in August. Students are urged to plan their journeys ahead of time and check before they travel.
