The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has updated the University of Liverpool Management School’s (ULMS’s) EQUIS reaccreditation for the next five years.
The EQUIS award confirms the School’s position in the top 32 business and management schools in the UK and 209 worldwide, and validates the high quality and professional relevance of its education programmes and research.
The EFMD’s EQUIS is a leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration.
Alongside the AACSB and AMBA accreditations, the EQUIS award ensures the School’s Triple Crown status, the highest recognition available in terms of business and management education.
“I am obviously delighted the Management School continues to hold an EQUIS accreditation, and to have received 5-years accreditation,” said Professor Julia Balogun, Dean of the Management School.
“It comes at a time when we are celebrating 20 years since the founding of the School, and this is another marker in the development of ULMS as a truly international Management School.”
To secure the prestigious EQUIS reaccreditation, the Management School provided extensive evidence to demonstrate its commitment to global excellence in education, and a balance between high academic quality and professional impact, through close interaction with the corporate world.
This has enabled the School to highlight an effective learning environment that favours students’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills, and fosters personal growth and sense of global responsibility.
The original accreditation was awarded in October 2019 following a rigorous application process which included a visit from the EQUIS office, self-assessment and peer reviews.
