Your Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) is a formal degree transcript that provides a full record of your achievements while studying at The University of Liverpool.
It enables you to demonstrate your achievements throughout your time at university, including academic work, extra-curricular activities, prizes and employability awards, voluntary work and offices held in student union clubs and societies that have been verified by the University and Guild of Students.
Check your HEAR record
All undergraduate and postgraduate taught students who are due to graduate in December have until Monday 21 November to check that the verified activities listed against their individual e-portfolio are correct.
If your HEAR content was correct and you have five or fewer activities that you want to appear on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) then you do not need to act further, as these activities will automatically be added to your HEAR which will be sent to you after you graduate.
If you have more than five activities and/or do not want one (or more) to appear on your HEAR, then you will need to go to the HEAR 6.1 Choices box on Liverpool Life to deselect those activities you do not want to appear. The default position is for all activities to be “ticked” and the top five will go onto your HEAR. To deselect activities from your HEAR:
- Go to the HEAR 6.1 Choices box on the front page of Liverpool Life.
- Untick the box next to any activities you do NOT wish to appear on your HEAR.
- Your choices will now be registered. You can close the webpage.
You can make changes to your selections anytime up until Monday 21 November when the HEAR information will then be locked down and finalised ahead of your graduation.
If you have spotted any errors such as spelling mistakes or activities that you did not participate in, please email myliv@liverpool.ac.uk.
Please note that at this time no further activities can be added and only specific activities are eligible to be included.
Once you have graduated, you will be able to share your HEAR with potential employers, employment agencies and other universities. It will remove the need to order and pay for additional copies of your transcript.
Further information about the HEAR can be found on our HEAR webpages and on the national HEAR website.
If you wish, you can also continue to access and use your e-portfolio after graduation to support your personal learning and professional development. If you would like to find out more and register to use this service, please read the Pebble Pad graduate account instructions.
