Support for Turkish and Syrian students

Our thoughts are currently with everyone affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

As a global university community, we understand that many of our students and staff may have friends and family in the affected regions.

We have written to members of our student community who have Turkish or Syrian nationality or who normally reside in Turkey or Syria to offer practical assistance and support.

If any member of our university community needs any additional support or someone to talk to during this difficult time we are here for you. The International Advisers in our International Advice and Guidance (IAG) team can help with practical and financial advice including information about the University Hardship Fund. Our team of Wellbeing Advisors are here to provide emotional support. Please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing iagteam@liverpool.ac.uk (our International Advice and Guidance Team) or advice@liverpool.ac.uk (our Wellbeing Team).

Whilst not developed specifically for this situation students may also find our year-round wellbeing resources and self-help information useful to read through.
