Volunteering opportunities to get involved with this month

The Guild work alongside hundreds of charities to share opportunities where you can make a difference in an area you are really passionate about. Whether it’s climate change, protecting animals, or helping children learn to read, there’s a chance for you to live your values through volunteering.

Here are just some of the current volunteering opportunities for students to get involved with:

One Wirral CIC (Community Interest Company) is a social enterprise which brings organisations and people together to achieve bigger and better things for the people of Wirral.

They need peer support volunteers to help to run group session for people with long term health conditions such as Fibromyalgia and Long-Covid. You’ll be the helping hand making sure the support group runs smoothly.

Leave Liverpool Tidy Volunteer

The Guild’s Leave Liverpool Tidy project is back, and they need your help! In collaboration with the British Heart Foundation, volunteers will be helping to reduce, reuse and recycle our way to a tidier Liverpool.

In addition to fun, sustainability-focused activities, volunteers will be helping with a project at the end of the year to distribute charity boxes, bags, and information flyers around halls of residence and student dense residential areas. This aims to encourage students to donate their unwanted clothes, homeware and food to the charities in order to avoid unnecessary waste and environmental implications.
