Student Volunteer

Engaging in volunteering is an excellent way to enrich your CV, build new connections, and enhance your individual skills, all while contributing to the wider community. The Guild of Students provides various avenues for volunteering, both on campus and with external organisations. Below are just a few of the opportunities available at the moment:

Guild Litter Picking Volunteers

Help tidy up your city. Sign up for this opportunity for the chance to make Liverpool a better place to live for everyone. The Guild of Students will be running regular litter-picking opportunities at various places around the city, including campus, Smithdown, Kensington, and beyond.

You’ll be provided with all the equipment you need, so sign up and get picking.

Mental Health Charity Social Media Assistant

Passionate about mental health? Have a knack for social media? This one is for you.

The Be Free Campaign are looking for enthusiastic creative social media managers to join our team! It will mainly be Instagram but with a vision to expand into LinkedIn. You will help to increase the input of ideas to build engagement and so that our campaigning in universities and the government for better mental health support and legislation (respectively), can have more traction and support.

LGBT+ Ambassador with Just Like Us

Ambassadors form a network of LGBT+ people who use their experiences to positively impact the lives of LGBT+ young people and helps ensure they grow up with the support and representation they need.

As a Just Like Us ambassador your role will be incredibly varied. There are a number of exciting projects, tasks and opportunities you can get stuck into. You will be trained to deliver talks and workshops to schools, use your voice online by creating digital content and contribute to loads of different areas of the organisation such as fundraising, promotion, strategy and inclusion.

Trust 10 Volunteers

The Trust10 is a monthly 10k trail run that gives National Trust visitors the opportunity to explore special places in a unique way. Trust10 Volunteers play a key role in marshalling the route, ensuring safe access and offering encouragement.

This opportunity takes place between 1 April and 2 October 2024.

Take your education into your own hands and map your modules against the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in this impactful volunteering opportunity run in collaboration with SOS-UK.
