Feel Good February this week

Feel Good February continues its month-long programme of wellbeing events and activities for staff and students aiming to help you focus on your health and wellbeing.

You can find more details about events and activities on the Feel Good February webpages as well as on the My Liverpool app, which gives you quick and easy access to the programme anytime, anywhere.

The month’s programme is structured around the six ways to wellbeingConnect, Be active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Give, Be Sustainable, with events aligned to each of these themes.

Here are just some of the highlighted upcoming events for the this week:

Interactive Trail across campus

Throughout the month, 6 large visual installations will also be placed around campus, forming an interactive trail for you to take 10 minutes away from your usually daily activities with games and brain teasers. Take some time to find all 6 and see if you can complete all of the challenges.

LoveLiverpool: Part-time Jobs Fair – Spring 2024

Looking for a part-time job to fit in around your course commitments?

We have invited companies from across the Liverpool City Region to visit the campus for our Part-Time Jobs Fair.

They are all looking to recruit students for various part-time, temporary or casual roles – there are opportunities across the Liverpool region, as well as on-campus at the University!

As well as earning some useful extra cash there are other benefits to part-time work. Graduate recruiters like to see candidates provide evidence of developing transferrable job skills, so a part-time job, is the ideal way to enhance the quality of your CV to help when applying for an internship, a year in industry placement or graduate level employment – so come and join us!
To speed up your entrance on the day, please bring along your physical Student ID card or download the MyLiverpool app and be ready to present this at the entrance to the event.

Money, Money, Money – How to budget at University: On Campus

Do you worry about money and how you can balancing your income and expenditure? Money Advice and Guidance are offering a KnowHow workshop which will look at ideas for maximising your income and provide budgeting tips. The workshop will also look at our spending habits and how we can try to reduce our spending.

The session is aimed at 1st year undergraduates but all students are welcome.

This workshop will take place in the KnowHow workshop space, 1st floor of the Sydney Jones library.

Statistics & Biscuits: Libraries, Museums & Galleries 14:00-16:00 

Training Room 2, 2nd Floor, Abercromby Wing, Sydney Jones Library 

Do you need help with statistics? Do you like biscuits? Come along to this drop-in for advice or to practice performing statistical tests with our Stats@liverpool tutors. SPSS handbooks and practice data will be available, as well as instructional videos on using R. Or you may just want to work on your own statistics in a nice atmosphere – and we’ll provide free biscuits! 

 You can turn up at any time during the two hours, but please book your place so that we can stock up on plenty of biscuits. Computers will be available in the room, or you can bring your own laptop.
