This World Book Day, we are reminding everyone that the University’s annual Liverpool Literary Festival will take place on campus this year between Friday 4 October and Sunday 6 October 2024.

Now in its ninth year, the much-loved Liverpool Literary Festival will include a fantastic line up of TV personalities, scriptwriters, authors, poets and much more.

In previous years, the festival has included an eclectic, dynamic range of authors including broadcasting legends Melanie Sykes and Stuart Maconie and local favourites Frank Cottrell Boyce and Ashleigh Nugent.

This year promises to be no exception and festival fans are being urged to get the dates in their diary early.

Festival Director Greg Lynall, Interim Dean of the School of the Arts at the University of Liverpool said: “We’re delighted to announce that the Liverpool Literary Festival will take place between Friday 4 October and Sunday 6 October this year.

“Even though it’s some months away, 2024 is marching on and preparations for the festival are already well under way and we wanted to use today, World Book Day, as a reminder that the festival is taking place again this autumn.

“We look forward to announcing some fantastic authors, so watch this space for information about how you can get your tickets booked and be part of one of the most dynamic events in the city’s cultural calendar.”
