About the event

Having meaningful conversations about mental health is key to everyone’s wellbeing and we want create a culture on campus where you feel you can have open and honest discussions about how you’re feeling.

Embracing the theme, “Let’s Have a Chat About Mental Health”, you’re invited to visit our lemonade stand as a first step towards sharing any challenges you may be facing and explore what support the MHAS team can offer.

Encouraging inclusivity and community participation, we’re aiming to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create an environment where you feel comfortable discussing your experiences. Whether it’s to seek advice, share personal stories, or simply enjoy a refreshing drink, all are welcome to stop by and join the conversation.

“University Mental Health Day is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and prioritize mental wellbeing,” says Marcella Camara, Manager of the MHAS team. “By hosting this lemonade stand, we hope to create a space where students feel empowered to speak openly about their mental health and access the support they need.”

“We want students to know that they are not alone in their struggles,” adds Marcella. “By fostering a culture of openness and understanding, we can work together to create a supportive community where everyone feels valued and heard.”
