Making an Impact, the University’s award-winning series of research impact and knowledge exchange development events has started.
Making an Impact 2024 runs for the next 5 weeks, until 14th June, with more than 50 sessions and activities tailored specifically for postgraduate researchers (PGRs). What will you discover to meet your research and career needs?

There’s so much else to engage with during Making an Impact 2024 too! The Virtual Delegate Pack has resources galore, with three new podcast episodes, 16 blogs, the Pocket Booklet of Top Tips, an inspirational playlist, and more.
You can also put lessons learned from our multiple sessions on collaboration, partnerships and networking into immediate practice by connecting with other participants and facilitators with our community delegate database and sharing insights on the Researcher Development Activities Teams Channel.

Don’t miss our three Keynote discussions to discover the importance of partnerships for the University’s success and your research future from sector-leading experts:
- Building research collaborations & delivering research impact with SumDU (16 May, 09:30-10:30). Hear from Professor Kostyantyn Kyrychenko about the impact of the University’s twinning with Sumy State University – Book here!
- Creative collaborations; developing Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (6 June, 10:00-11:30). Hear about the development of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool and how this has brought opportunities for research collaborations and cutting-edge research. The keynote is followed by a chance to network with other PGRs and staff over refreshments. Book here!
- The opportunities and challenges of global research collaboration (13 June, 13:00-14:00). Professor Tariq Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships will share how the University’s strategy for global engagement will help you to develop your networks and partnerships for global impact, including with industry. 3 Minute Thesis Competition Final – 19 June 2024, 11:00-14:30
Support the PGR community and discover some of the most exciting research happening at the University of Liverpool by attending the 3 Minute Thesis University of Liverpool Final. Join the Vice Chancellor of the University of Liverpool, Professor Tim Jones, to watch and vote on the finalists. During the event you’ll also be able to take part in a Q&A workshop and enjoy lunch with the panoramic views from the Spine.
