Read up on wellbeing support and reach out if you need help

With World Mental Health Day just around the corner (10 October), here’s a reminder of how our Student Services team can support you throughout your time at Liverpool.

You can find them in the Student Life Building on University Square. Made up of several teams, they can help no matter what comes your way.

You can reach them by calling them on 0151 795 1000 or visit the Student Services website for information on how to book appointments.

They can support you with;

In a crisis now? Immediate mental health support

In an emergency, or if you don’t feel that you can keep yourself safe, go to accident and emergency (A&E), or call 999 for an ambulance. Or you can contact your local NHS mental health crisis line. For Liverpool, call 0800 145 6570. If you’re outside of Liverpool, find your local mental health crisis line on the NHS website.

Many students find it helpful to call a listening service:

Health assured also provide a phone helpline for University of Liverpool students. You can talk to a trained counsellor anytime of the day or night by calling 0800 028 3766. 

We also strongly recommend you see your GP as soon as possible.

If you have thoughts about harming yourself or ending your life but do not feel you are at immediate risk, Student Services offers a range of support that includes wellbeing advisors, counsellors, and the mental health advisory Service.
