Here at Liverpool we love to celebrate our postdocs, and as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) we’re excited to offer a selection of free events in September, and the opportunity to show your appreciation for the postdocs you works with in Celebrating Researchers 2025!
Running from 15 – 19 September 2025, NPAW is a UK-wide celebration of the invaluable contributions that postdoctoral researchers make to research excellence, impact, community and culture.
The Leadership, Organisational, Professional and Academic Development Academy (The Academy), together with the Research Staff Association (RSA), are hosting a variety of events to recognise and empower postdocs during NPAW.

Show your appreciation by nominating postdocs for Celebrating Researchers 2025!
Has someone gone the extra mile to help you? Do you know a postdoc who has demonstrated impact within and/or beyond the University? Is there a researcher who makes working at the University even better? Now is your chance to recognise their achievements and tell them how much you value their efforts.
Now in its third year, Celebrating Researchers is an opportunity for the whole university community to show their appreciation for the hard work of research staff (including postdocs, research fellows, research assistants and research technicians). Share your messages of thanks, as well as nominating them for our Research Staff Community and Research Culture Champion prizes. You can also self-nominate! All messages of appreciation and nominations will be showcased across the university and at the Research Staff Conference on 3 December, where the prize winners will be announced.
