Men’s mental health month: where to go if you need support

University life is ‘supposed’ to be lots of things; fun, full of new friends and things to do – but sometimes it’s overwhelming. If you’re a Liverpool student and things feel off, there’s plenty of help available for you, both through the University and from external organisations.

Wellbeing Advice Team

This team is your first stop for any wellbeing or mental health-related worries you have. Use the online triage form and one of our Wellbeing Practitioner will get back to you.

Sometimes all you need is someone to hear you out. If you need to talk to someone in the evening or at weekends, you’re not alone. The following organisations can help:

🍻 Drugs, alcohol and problem gambling support

Are you concerned about your drug or alcohol use? We’ve teamed up with Change Grow Live (CGL) to give you a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your concerns, ask questions, and get guidance around substance use and its impact on your health, wellbeing, and daily life.

You can find Change Grow Live at their stand on Guild Walk (near Union Brew) every other Thursday from 1–3pm. Remaining dates for semester one are:
