Exams and assessments: assessment conduct and academic misconduct

We hope that preparations for your upcoming semester one formal exams and assessments in January are going smoothly.

As we near the start of the formal exam and assessment period, it is important to remind you that we expect the highest level of academic integrity from you and every student in our community.

By now you should have completed the KnowHow tutorial on academic integrity to ensure you are fully aware of what it entails and why it is so important. If you haven’t completed the tutorial, we would encourage you to do so at the earliest opportunity.

In the event that a module coordinator or invigilator suspects a student of having breached these regulations, the matter may be referred for consideration under the University’s academic misconduct procedures. It is important to familiarise yourself with our Code of Practice on Assessment.

Travelling to campus in time for assessments

Formal assessments are an essential part of your education and you are expected to attend any scheduled in-person (in an exam room on campus) assessments unless you are prevented from doing so by illness or other extenuating circumstances. Please read the University’s Additional Considerations Policy for further information.
