Liverpool stands internationally recognised as a leading destination for high-profile events, and we’re inviting students to play an active role. In The Big Events Challenge 2026, you’ll work in teams to help deliver a fully accessible and inclusive city experience across Liverpool.
The University’s Careers & Employability team runs this challenge in partnership with Culture Liverpool, the organisation that delivers many of the city’s exciting large-scale events.
Over two days in March, you’ll work in teams and receive dedicated support to help you develop your ideas. The challenge will culminate in a showcase event, where selected finalists will pitch their ideas to a panel. All students and employer partners will then have the opportunity to network and celebrate together.
