The University of Liverpool is delighted to announce that 14 colleagues from across the institution will shortly begin their professional coaching qualification.
This represents an important investment in the University’s people and future. We congratulate all 14 colleagues who are embarking on this next stage of their journey and look forward to the positive impact they will undoubtedly bring to our community.
Once qualified, these colleagues will join the Internal Bank of University Leadership Coaches, a community of skilled practitioners who offer coaching to leaders and managers as part of their personal and professional development. This initiative directly supports the University’s commitment to fostering reflective, empowered and values‑led leadership.
Expanding Support for Leaders and Managers
Coaching will be offered as a core element of their development journey, enabling colleagues to:
- Build confidence and capability in navigating complex challenges
- Reflect on their leadership skills, style and impact
- Enhance decision‑making, communication, and strategic thinking
- Develop practical, personalised goals for growth
By increasing the number of trained coaches available across the University, leaders and managers will have greater access to high‑quality, confidential support tailored to their development needs.
A robust coaching culture benefits not only individuals, but the wider institution – helping shape a more inclusive, people‑centred environment where colleagues feel able to thrive.
