We have welcomed the launch of Prosper Cohort 2026, marking the start of a six‑month career development journey for 30 postdoctoral researchers.
The induction session, held on 10 February 2026, set the tone for the programme designed to build community, strengthen confidence and expand career horizons.
During the session, participants explored potential barriers to engagement, shared their hopes for the months ahead, and began forging the connections that will support their professional growth. Postdocs expressed aspirations including gaining greater clarity on career options, boosting their confidence, understanding their priorities, developing new skills, and connecting with an inspiring community of peers.
This year’s cohort reflects Prosper’s continued commitment to diversity across disciplines: 40% come from Biomedical and Biological Sciences, 27% from Physical and Environmental Sciences and Engineering, and 33% from Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, meeting our target of at least 20% representation from each area. You can read more about the cohort makeup.
With its blend of coaching, peer support and structured development activities, the Prosper Cohort 2026 aims to empower postdocs to shape their next career steps with confidence and clarity.
