Following our recent Board of Studies, the Academy would like to offer warm congratulations to everyone who has successfully completed Stage 2 Cohort 1 of the Foundations in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (FLTHE) programme and gained Associate Fellowship of Advance HE.
34 participants from across the university took part in the six-week experiential learning programme supporting their development as HE educators.
One successful FLTHE student commented: “Participating in the FLTHE Stage 2 programme offered a valuable opportunity to critically reflect on and strengthen my teaching and supervisory practice. The peer observation of my teaching session was particularly impactful. Indeed, it affirmed my approach to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments and helped me grow in confidence.”
The Academy runs three cohorts of the Stage 2 programme each year; if you are interested in joining the next cohort then please see information on the Academy website.
The Board of Studies also confirmed 22 Fellowships through ULTRA:
- four Associate Fellow
- 13 Fellow
- five Senior Fellow
ULTRA is the CPD route to Fellowship and is suitable for colleagues with at least three years’ experience who wish to gain Advance HE recognition for their teaching and/or supporting learning practice. If you would like to know more about ULTRA, please go to the ULTRA webpage.
