Shape your personal brand workshop: Thursday 23 April

Enterprise Activity

You are invited to take part in a practical branding workshop focused on developing a strong and confident personal brand.

Taking place at the Sir Peter Rigby Centre for Enterprise on 23 April, this session hosted by Yenny Weng Mei from the University’s Careers & Employability team offers an opportunity to think more deliberately about how you present yourself – whether for employment, freelancing, or future business ideas.

The workshop will introduce the core principles of branding, with a particular emphasis on how these apply at an individual level. You will be guided through how to define your values and communicate your strengths. You will learn how to build a consistent identity that reflects who you are and what you want to achieve.

During the session, you will explore how to:

  • Clarify your personal brand identity, including your values, strengths, and professional direction
  • Develop a visual style and messaging that supports how you want to be perceived
  • Understand how branding elements—such as design and presentation—contribute to recognition and credibility
  • Build the confidence and practical skills needed to communicate your brand clearly across different platforms

This workshop is particularly relevant for students interested in entrepreneurship, freelancing, or creative fields, but is equally valuable for anyone looking to stand out in a competitive job market.
