Writing for The Conversation – July sessions

Academics, researchers and PhD students who wish to reach new audiences, raise their media profile and inform public debate are invited to attend online sessions with The Conversation.

The Conversation is an independent source for news and opinions, written by the academic and research community for a general public audience.

Articles published by The Conversation can be republished by major news outlets including the Guardian, BBC News, Washington Post, CNN amongst others.

To date, over 300 University of Liverpool researchers have written 642 articles for the platform generating more than 13.5 million reads.

If you are already familiar with The Conversation and have an idea for an article, then please book a One to One session to discuss your idea with an Editor.

General Introduction sessions
These sessions will outline how The Conversation works, its origins and aims, the writing process and the benefits of writing for the public.

If you wish to discuss an idea for an article then please sign up for a One to One session. You will get a 15 – 20 minute slot with an Editor where you can talk through your pitch.
