The University of Liverpool’s online MSc Finance and Investment Management has become the latest programme from the university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program following in the footsteps of the on-campus MSc Finance and Investment Management programme which also holds the award. The MSc Finance and Investment Management has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the programme. The online MSc positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that the University of Liverpool curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this program, the University of Liverpool is eligible to receive a limited number of CFA Program Student Scholarships each year.
The online MSc Finance and Investment Management programme has been designed by academics from the University of Liverpool’s Management School, who have used their years of experience in the profession and academia to provide engaging, relevant content for Finance students. Students study the art and science behind financial markets and develop a deep understanding of the contemporary principles of finance and investment management and how these are applied to financial intermediation, savings, and investment. The programme is delivered on a fully online and part-time basis, allowing students to study around work and other commitments and from anywhere in the world.
