Staff from the Liverpool Cancer Research UK Centre have made a short film to raise awareness of their life-saving work.
Every year around 4,000 people in Liverpool are told they have cancer. However, thanks to research, survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years. Liverpool Cancer Research UK Centre has a team of around 200 doctors, scientists, researchers and nurses whose groundbreaking research is helping save lives in Merseyside and Cheshire and beyond.
With the support of local band the Wombats, they put together the film, Liverpool Dances for Cancer Research, as a thank you for the support they receive and as an introduction to what they do.

Wonderful – is there a way of developing this idea further so that we can join in with the dance ‘routines’ or perhaps create/host a dance event for all ages to promote greater awareness of the issues? Dance is an excellent way of breaking down barriers, and anyone can do it!
