The second annual John Percival Postgate Lecture, hosted by the Liverpool Classical Association, will be taking place on Wednesday 8 December at 5.45pm in the Sherrington Lecture Theatre 1.
Professor Roy Gibson from the University of Manchester will talk on ‘From Postgate to Present: Professors of Latin at the University of Liverpool’.
John Percival Postgate was Professor of Latin at the University from 1909 until 1920, he is best known for his editions of the Latin poets and for his role in the foundation of the Classical Association of England and Wales.
