Student Ambassadors in Shanghai at the World Expo
The Victoria Gallery & Museum played host to more than 60 World Expo Student Ambassadors.
The school pupils, who were chosen from 31 secondary schools to represent the city at the Liverpool Pavilion in Shanghai last year, were reunited for a special event organised by the Confucius Institute and Liverpool City Council.
The Ambassadors filmed their time at Expo between May and October 2010 and a selection were shown at the event. The students also received certificates in recognition of their contributions to the Liverpool Pavilion experience.
Ann Smith, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute, said: “The team at the Institute was delighted to support the Student Ambassadors as they prepared to represent the city in Shanghai, they responded enthusiastically to the training and were a pleasure to work with.”
