Professor Soraya Shirazi-Beechey, Head of the Epithelial Function and Development Group in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology has been awarded an Honorary Associateship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
The Associateship is the highest honour the College awards to non-members and there are only 78 Honorary Associates in the world, including eminent veterinarians and other distinguished people who have given notable service to the veterinary cause.
The award will be conferred in July at a ceremony held in London.
She has also been invited to serve on the Scientific Advisory Panel of National Science Foundation of the United States of America.
