Easter treats at the Farmers’ Market Visit University Square for April’s Farmers’ Market today, Thursday 14 April, from 9am to 2.30pm. There will be a range of locally-produced food including fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats and baked goods – all grown, reared and cultivated by the stall owners themselves. There are also a variety of craft stalls run by independent retailers from around the North West selling jewellery, bags and gifts. The market is a step towards supporting local businesses while helping to reduce food miles.
