Professor Andrew Evans from the Department of Chemistry has been selected as an ACS (American Chemical Society) Fellow.
Founded in 1876 the American Chemical Society is the world’s largest scientific society with 161,000 members in all fields of chemistry.
The ASC Fellows program was created to recognise members of the ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science, the profession and the society, and fellows are selected by a broadly representative selection committee.
The 2011 ACS Fellows will be honoured at a special ceremony during the ACS National Meeting in Denver on 29 August 2011.
