The Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (EEE) hosted academics from Xian Jiaotong University who were visiting Liverpool to gain practical experience of delivering lectures in English.
The eleven EEE lecturers were participating on an English language course whose aim is to enhance participants’ capacity to deliver lectures and degree courses through the medium of English.
The course, based in the English Language Centre, combined practice in the teaching of English as a medium of instruction with opportunities to experience and deliver lectures within the field of EEE.
During their visit, the group also attended a number of lectures on various and had the opportunity to attend Electrical Engineering modules which matched their own area of expertise.
It is hoped that the visit will foster closer collaborative research links between the two departments.
