Larry Barnes prepares ahead of his fourth year carrying the ceremonial mace. Electrical Engineering Building Manager, Larry, said: “It’s tremendous. I’d been waiting in the wings for a few years so had to bide my time before I took over. It’s a total gear shift from my usual job. It’s great to see these guys going across the stage and getting their degrees after all the hard work”

All this week’s graduation ceremonies take place at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Guests, graduates and their families took advantage of the calm before ceremonies started this morning to take photographs and catch up with friends
With only a limited supply of ceremony tickets available, additional guests can watch the action on a big screen in a marquee erected in Abercromby Square
