The University of Liverpool’s online Information Technology degrees have become the first fully online masters programmes to be awarded BCS Accreditation by BCS, The Chartered Institute of IT.

Full BCS CITP accreditation has been awarded to the following online programmes:

MSc in Computer Security

MSc in Information Systems Management

MSc in Information Technology

MSc in Internet Systems,

MSc in Software Engineering

Partial CITP accreditation has been awarded to the online MSc in Information Systems and Technology programme, allowing graduates to apply for CITP status when they have gained additional professional experience.

Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. By successfully completing a BCS accredited degree, graduates immediately qualify for professional membership of the Institute. An accredited degree also provides graduates with some or all of the knowledge and skills needed to register as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP).

The BCS Accreditation is for the University’s online IT masters programmes and the accreditation period covers intakes from September 2010 up to and including September 2018.

The University’s online programme is delivered by partners, Laureate Education. To find out more visit: http://www.liv.ac.uk/study/online/
