The University has launched its programme of activity for confirmation and clearing in August 2014.
The Student Recruitment and Admissions Office has increased the range of promotional activities aimed at building engagement with applicants and offer holders. This includes a campaign across the summer, designed to reduce the number of students who accept an offer at the University, but fail to register to start their studies.
New initiatives include:
Coming to Liverpool’ summer visits
These events are targeted at all offer holders, as well as enquirers who may be considering university in September 2014 and have yet to apply. They are an opportunity for non-clinical students who have already attended an event at the University to revisit and ask any last questions, as well as for students who have not been to see us at all. The visits will take place on 30 July and 6 August and include talks and exhibitions on the topics such as admissions, accommodation, finance and student life, as well as campus and city tours.
Post A level results ‘Offer holder visits’
Traditionally seen as visit days for clearing offer holders, the University is are now opening these up for all non-clinical offer holders, including those who have received changed course offers or people who were holding Liverpool as their insurance offer. This is an opportunity for people to visit campus before the start of term and familiarise themselves with the University and the city . The visit days will take place on Saturday 16 August, Sunday 17 August and Monday 18 August.
Early results application service
For the first time this year the University is opening up applications to people who receive their results prior to the 14 August. These may be International Baccalaureate candidates, deferred candidates or access candidates amongst others. They can register online at http://www.liv.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/results2014/to receive a call back from the Admissions Team within two working days.
Clearing priority call back service
Liverpool is also enabling students to register online to receive a priority clearing call back on A level results day, helping to ensure that the University targets the best candidates early on results day.
