The University is hosting a one day event to launch Genomes to Life (G2L) as a new research theme.
The launch will showcase Liverpool’s high-profile and unique research strengths in genomic science, other ‘omics’ techniques – including proteomics and metabolomics, and computational/systems biology.
The day is open to all staff and PhD students and aims to increase connections across the University and pump-prime new research projects. Participants can pitch for a share of a £20,000 research budget to be used within research centres and facilities including the Centre for Genomic Research, synthetic biology via GeneMill, the Centre for Proteome Research, NMR metabolomics and the Computational Biology Facility.
The launch takes place on Monday 24 July 2017, from 09:15 to 16:30 in the Foresight Centre.
