At our first Liverpool Literary Festival presents event back in September, author and University of Liverpool Chancellor, Colm Tóibín spoke before a packed audience at the Victoria Gallery & Museum.
Our podcast team were there to capture some of the highlights and in a special bonus episode Colm reads excerpts from his latest book House of Names, a retelling of one part of the classic Greek trilogy The Oresteia. He also provides us with fascinating and funny insights into the challenges he faced adapting a story that is 2,500 years old.
The second in our two-part Autumn series of Liverpool Literary Festival presents events takes place later this week with best-selling author, Phillip Pullman at St Georges Hall.
Liverpool Literary Festival returns in full next year, over the weekend of 19-21 October 2018.
