Further Arriva strike – staff advised to plan ahead

Arriva Bus Strike

Arriva staff are planning to take further industrial action on Monday (27 November), which will affect bus services used by many staff and students.

There will be no services operating within Merseyside on Monday.

Staff with a pre-paid Arriva ticket (weekly or annual ticket) will be able to use it on the Merseyrail network – for details of times please visit Merseyrail: https://www.merseyrail.org/. Arriva tickets will also be accepted on Stagecoach Quality Network Routes – services 10A, 14, 53, 82, 86, 471 and 472. For details of times and other bus services please visit Merseytravel: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/.

Please visit the University’s Travel Solutions web page for alternative transport options available to staff, such as the Cycle to Work scheme, Citybike discount and the University Car Share Scheme https://staff.liverpool.ac.uk/our-workplace-and-community/travel-solutions/.

Any staff who are unable to use an alternative means of transport to work on Monday are asked to speak to their line manager about options such as taking annual leave, changing working arrangements or other appropriate flexible arrangements.

For any specific questions regarding local bus services please contact Arriva’s customer services team on 0344 800 44 11. Please keep in touch with Arriva’s Twitter account for further updates: https://twitter.com/arrivanorthwest.
