Welcome Week is just around the corner and the Guild has put together an amazing programme of events.

We’ve rounded up some of our top picks below, but you can see the full Welcome Week events line-up via the Guild’s site. Some of the events are proving so popular – such as the outdoor cinema and Bongo’s Bingo – they’ve sold out. #HelloLivUni

90s vs 00s club night

Baby Spice or Nelly? Hit Me Baby One More Time or Ms. Jackson? You decide who wins the battle of the decades at the 90s vs 00s club night. Dress up in your best 90s and 00s fashion – we’re thinking chokers, puffer jackets and anything that featured in a Destiny Child’s video – and dust off those MC Hammer inspired dance moves.

When: Monday, 17 September: 10:30pm -2am
Where: Mountford Hall, inside the Guild

Food Festival

Liverpool is a city known for its food and the Food Festival is your chance to experience some of the city’s finest culinary delights. Taking place along Guild Walk, the Festival promises something for everyone, including some fantastic vegan food. Once you’ve had your fill of food, you can enjoy a drink in Mountford Hall and listen to the Guild’s resident DJ.

When: Wednesday, 19 September: 12pm-7pm

Lee Nelson

With new material and a little makeover, comedian and renowned prankster Lee Nelson is bringing his tour to Liverpool espcially for you.  Tickets are £8/£10 OTD.

Welcome Fair

The Welcome Fair is your opportunity to find out about all of the societies and volunteering opportunities you can take advantage of during your time at the University. And yes, the rumours are true – as well as loads of great freebies and discounts, you can also get free Domino’s at the Fair too.

All students are welcome, whether you’re a first year or a wise final year student.

When: Thursday, 20 September and Friday, 21 September: 10am – 4pm
Where: Mountford Hall, inside the Guild

Campus Tour

Get to know your way around campus on this exclusive tour. The Guild’s friendly guides will show you the best lunch spots, their favourite study spaces and help you to navigate your way around the University.

When: Monday, 17 September and Tuesday, 18 September: 1pm
Where: Meet at the Guild reception
