Update: Access to eResources

The Library is currently experiencing intermittent disruption to access to online resources, related to issues with our authentication provider.  We are investigating this as a matter of urgency.

In the meantime, continue to use online resources via the library website as normal. If you experience an error when trying to access an online resource, please follow the advice below.

The University has agreed the following deadline extensions:

  • Assignments originally due on Monday, 7 January are now due on Wednesday, 9 January
  • Assignments originally due on Tuesday, 8 January are now due on Thursday, 10 January
  • Assignments originally due on Wednesday, 9 January are now due on Friday, 11 January
  • Assignments originally due on Thursday, 10 January are now due on Friday, 11 January

Please note assignments originally due on Friday, 11 January are STILL due on Friday, 11 January.

If problems recur, the University will consider the position in relation to assignments due in the following week, and will send out a further update. Please check your University email account for further information about the deadline extensions.

To keep up-to-date with the latest information about this issue, please check the ‘Problems with access to eResources’ blog post on the Library website. Updates will also be posted to the @LivUniLibrary Twitter account.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

On campus

If you are on campus, access to online resource should work as normal when accessed via the library website.

If you see an error when on campus, it should last no more than a few minutes until a back-up initiates, which will restore access.

Off campus

If you are off campus, install AppsAnywhere, open a web browser using Apps Anywhere, and then access online resources as normal via the library website.

Alternatively, below are direct access links for some specific resources.

Key resources

For some key resources we are able to offer the following direct links. As further links become available, we will add these to the ‘Problems with access to eResources’ blog post on the Library website.

If a resource isn’t on this list you may still be able to login to the resource  off campus, by using its own login or sign in options. Look for an option such as ‘institutional login’. It may ask you to select “UK Federation”, “UK Higher Education”, or “shibboleth”. If the ‘University of Liverpool’ is listed, you will be able to login using your MWS username/password.
