The University’s fourth annual Wellbeing Week will launch on the week commencing 6 May 2019 with a wide range of events and activities taking place.
Why not start your wellbeing activity early? The University’s Director of Research, Partnerships and Innovation, Sarah Jackson and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Gavin Brown along with other colleagues will be taking part in the Liverpool Spring 10k on Sunday, 5 May 2019. If you would like to join the team, please sign up on the event webpage first and email Faye Forbes to let us know that you wish to join the team.
Gavin Brown, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education said: “The Spring 10k is a great event in our city and I am looking forward to running with our staff and students.
I am enjoying putting on my running shoes and getting back in to training – if I can do it, anyone can!
Thank you to HR, Sport Liverpool and SEE for helping create the first “Team Liverpool” at the Spring 10k.”
The University’s Director of Research, Partnerships and Innovation, Sarah Jackson said; “This is a great way to start Wellbeing Week – it’s all about connecting with other colleagues, students and doing something active. The race starts right here on our campus, so come along and run loud and proud in University blue.
“All are very welcome- it’s not about how fast, it’s about giving it a go and enjoying some post-race refreshment at the end.”
One of the University Liv to Give charities, Claire House, is the charity partner for this event. Staff who choose to take part are encouraged to sign up to raise some funds for them when registering.
If you would still like to challenge yourself to some physical activity, the Campus 5k/2.5k Walk will be taking place again this year during Wellbeing Week.
The full programme of events is available on the Wellbeing Hub.
