The University has reduced the cost of printing across campus following the implementation of a new Managed Print Service contract.
Students and departments will now pay just 1.5p for a black and white A4 page (double-sided printing) – a reduction of 25% on the previous cost of 2p.

The University is committed to reducing the use of print across campus and is continuing to see a year-on-year fall in the number of pages being printed.
The latest price drop follows a review of print services which led to the introduction of new equipment right across campus. The new printer models have additional functionality and default to black and white and duplex (double-sided) printing to keep paper usage to a minimum. The system also enables University departments to easily keep track of their print usage with the overall aim of reducing waste.
The contract with print firm Ricoh was renegotiated following a tender process as part of the service review. This led to a reduction in the contract price – a saving which has been passed onto students and departments at the University.
Please note: Printing prices at the University include the cost of paper, print, printer maintenance and VAT. Services will be reviewed again in summer 2022.
