Sustainability Challenge 2020

Do you have you an idea that could positively change our University?

Students are invited to enter an exciting new Sustainability Challenge 2020 competition to identify new ways in which the University of Liverpool could be more sustainable and maximise our positive social and environmental impact.

Entries should be linked to at least one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals that have been adopted by all United Nations Member States. The University recently reaffirmed its commitment to these aims by signing an accord with the Guild of Students to review all operations with a view to implementing measures to improve and enhance its sustainability.

The challenge

We’re looking for the most interesting and innovative suggestions from students across all subjects and every year of study. Share your ideas, and enter the competition by completing this short online form before Monday, 27 April.

The judging panel will decide on the top six entries, and invite the shortlisted students to take part in a virtual pitching competition on Monday, 4 May, with a chance of winning some great prizes worth up to £500.

Prize includes:

  • FitBit (of your choice up to £250)
  • Independent Liverpool Card
  • Zero Waste Starter Kit
  • £100 donation to a charity of your choice

We would love to hear your ideas!
