Want to have your voice heard? As you settle into life at the University, make sure you register to vote while you are living in Liverpool.
Can I register twice – at home and at university?
If you’ve recently moved to Liverpool and are already registered to vote at your permanent home address, you can also register to vote at your term-time address as long as they are in two different local authority areas.
If your home and university addresses are in two different local authority areas you can vote in local elections in both areas.
For more information, please visit the Your Vote Matters website.
If you have moved to a new property for this academic year, you will also need to re-register at your new address.
How do I register?
The easiest way to register is by completing the online form on the gov.uk website. It’s simple to do and should only take around five minutes.
You will need your National Insurance number to register. If you don’t know your National Insurance number you can find advice on how to get it here. You can also apply for a National Insurance number if you’ve never had one.
