This Thursday (4 March) is University Mental Health Day, so as part of this round up we are including some events designed to help you manage your wellbeing. 1. U-CAN: Psycho-Social Education Groups
A Psycho-Social Education skills group called U-CAN has launched to help students improve their levels of stress, anxiety and for those with a persistent low mood. The group will help you develop skills to manage your mental health using the ‘Living Life to the Full’ programme and low intensity CBT approaches.

2. Let’s Talk About Loneliness
As part of University Mental Health Day, the Wellbeing Team are running a virtual session on how to combat loneliness for all students. It is quite common for people at Uni to feel lonely- and even more common to imagine that no one else feels the same way, but many of us do. Come along if you would like to hear our hints and tips on some ways to combat loneliness – we would love to see you there.

3. Podcasting and presenting workshops
The Careers & Employability team are pleased to launch a brand new podcasting and presenting programme for students. It doesn’t matter what subject you study, this is a great chance to try something new and develop your skills.

4. TeaTalk
Grab a hot drink, cosy spot and fire up your phone or laptop – it’s time to make some zoom BFFs from the comfort of your own living space.

5. Bringing the world to Liverpool
In the latest programme in this online careers series featuring recent University of Liverpool graduates, you can find out what it is like to work at Amazon with alumnus, Andrew Craig, who is currently a Senior Product Manager at the company.

6. Prepare for the online recruitment process
In this session the recruitment team at EY will discuss how you can prepare yourself for a virtual recruitment process. It will look at online tests, such as numerical reasoning and situational judgment, job simulation, virtual assessment days and virtual final interviews. An invaluable online careers session full of practical tips no matter which company you are applying to.

7. Speed-Mateing
We know that this year is very different to normal and making new friends from 2m can be difficult, especially if you’re also living alone! Through breakout rooms and conversation starters, you’ll have a chance to get to know the group and hopefully pick up some new pals along the way.

8. Self-Love Stories: Free journaling workshop
The team from Mindless Academy are hosting live weekly journaling workshop. The 20-minute session will feature a short, guided meditation, followed by a series of journaling prompts that aim to help move us forward in our thinking, clear our minds and make space for change.

9. The Good Grief Café
Good Grief Café offers a safe online space to chat about difficult subjects surrounding death, loss and grief. Students are invited to join Lilly and Laura from St Luke in the City Team Parish as part of the Anglican chaplaincy to discuss topics from the Church of England’s ‘Grave Talk’ resource.

11. Sustainable Business Challenge
Applications are now open for University of Liverpool Master’s students to enter the San Marcos Sustainable Business Challenge 2021. This is a great opportunity for postgraduate students from any subject to work with students from Peru and China in cross-university interdisciplinary teams on a real-world challenge.

12. Social action to create positive change
