We want you to be as prepared as possible when Canvas replaces VITAL as your virtual learning environment (VLE) on 1 August 2021. That’s why our expert (and super friendly) team of student Canvas Coaches will be hosting monthly drop-in sessions, giving you the chance to ask any questions you might have about your new VLE.
Learn more about our team of Canvas Coaches
These informal drop-in sessions are exclusively for students and provide an opportunity for you to learn more about using Canvas.
You will be able to chat with the Coaches – and other students – about their experiences of using both VITAL and Canvas, gaining useful insights and tips on all the extra functionality that Canvas has to offer.
There’s no need to book on to these sessions – simply join our Teams Channel, come along each month and get chatting!

Canvas Coaches will be able to answer any questions that you have relating to:
- What you may need to download and save from VITAL before 31 July
- The differences between Canvas and VITAL and how to find your way around the new VLE
- How to access help and support when using Canvas
The drop-in sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams, with the first session on Wednesday, 5 May. From then on, each monthly session will take place on the third Wednesday of the month.
If you are unsure about anything related to Canvas or if you just want to hear about all the brilliant new features that Canvas has to offer, please join the student drop-in Teams channel using the code moal1ro.
