Halloween events you don’t want to miss – 2021

As ghouls, ghosts and other terrifying things descend on our city this month, we’re rounding up some of the best events taking place in and around Liverpool this Halloween.

1. Fearsome Film Festival

This Halloween, St Luke’s Bombed Out Church in Liverpool is showing 14 horror films as part of its fearsome film festival.

What better way to enjoy a spooky film than sitting outside in the centre of one of Liverpool’s oldest venues. Bring your blankets, cushions, and comfy jackets to get cosy in or to hide from the scary scenes!

The fearsome film festival runs features everything from classic 1980s horrors to family friendly spooky movies.

2. Farmageddon

Dubbed the ‘fear farm’, Farmageddon is a truly terrifying experience. If you manage to get tickets, you’ll be chased through four scare houses by seasoned scare actors and have to navigate your way round movie-grade special effects.

3. Big Pub Quiz: Halloween Spooktacular

Spooky season has arrived at the Mountford Hall for our Big Pub Quiz: Halloween Special.

4. Guild Brunch Club: Haunted House

5. Give it a Go – Shiverpool

Come along to hear creepy tales, learn about the mysteries & hidden histories of Liverpool and have a thrilling good time!

6. Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking is a great event for you and your housemates, and luckily there are plenty of places close to Liverpool to find yours:

  • Pumpkin Alley in Ormskirk passes include wheelbarrow use and your first pumpkin. You can find out more about Pumpkin Alley here.
  • Sandhill Strawberry Farm in Rainhill is not just a traditional working farm, but it is also a great place to go to find pumpkins and even Christmas trees. More here.
  • The Pumpkin Patch in Hightown is open every day till 31 October and has plenty of pumpkins to choose from. Check out their Facebook page here.
