From competitive sport to wellbeing walks, Sport Liverpool have something for you.
In the latest of our Meet the Team series, the Sport Liverpool team introduce the fantastic facilities for students at the heart of the campus.
With a 25 metre swimming pool, state of the art fitness centre, squash courts, fitness classes, sports halls, personal trainers, plus 13 grass pitches, 2 synthetic hockey pitches, a 3G rugby training area at our Wyncote Sports Ground, you won’t be able to find an excuse not to get active!
Sport Liverpool supports over 50 student-led sports clubs which provide for players of all levels including beginners. These clubs represent the University in a number of leagues and tournaments, mostly in BUCS competitions. There are also a number of campus sports on offer such as 11 a side football, 6 a side football, futsal, netball and badminton, as well as opportunities to take part in recreational sports.
Student representation is provided through the Athletic Union (AU) and its executive committee comprising an AU president and two AU vice-presidents.
Regular exercise is really important for both your physical and mental wellbeing. Whether you take part in a fitness class, join one of our sports clubs or come along on a wellbeing walk around campus – make sure you dedicate time to staying active.
