2021 has proven to be another difficult and unpredictable year and it is more important than ever that we take a moment to reflect on how education continues to have the power to transform lives.
We are in no doubt that our students and alumni are our greatest ambassadors and demonstrate, through your amazing achievements, no matter how big or small, this truly transformational power of education.
In this spirit, we hope you enjoy watching this short film which illustrates just some of your inspirational stories. You’ll meet Mustafa, who fled Afghanistan in August this year and joined us on a Master’s programme on an asylum seeker scholarship; Rio, who thought his life was mapped out as a future professional footballer, only to have the rug pulled from under him; and Amy, who saw education as the way to turn her life around after her childhood in care and disrupted education.
We are so proud of our student community, who every day inspire us with their passion, resilience and determination to succeed. We also want to take a moment to thank all our staff for all they have continued to do this year, despite the challenges, to support you in your studies.
We wish you a healthy, restful and peaceful break and look forward to seeing you all again in 2022.
