As Liverpool prepares to welcome thousands of visitors to the city this May for Eurovision 2023, Culture Liverpool have released a number of volunteering opportunities for you to get involved with.
Culture Liverpool says “The volunteering programme gives people the chance to be at the heart of this iconic event, contributing to making history in Liverpool and representing our city’s long culture of welcoming the world with open arms.”
The roles
Around 500 roles have been created to support the event’s delivery, with volunteers located in the City Centre, Liverpool ONE, the Pier Head and at key transport hubs. The majority of volunteering opportunities will take place in the week running up to the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2023. Duties will include scanning event tickets, meeting and greeting visitors, welcoming artists to backstage areas of the Eurovision Village and much more.
The following four roles are currently being advertised and you can find out more about each via the links below:
- Eurovision Village Volunteer
- Eurovision Festival Volunteer
- Eurovision Host City Welcome Volunteer
- Eurovision Workforce Volunteer
Please note that none of the roles will be arena-based.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering is an opportunity to meet new people, gain skills and make great memories. It is a rewarding experience to feel part of a team and to have contributed to an event that will be talked about for decades.
