As Liverpool prepares to welcome thousands of visitors to the city this May for Eurovision 2023, Culture Liverpool have released a number of volunteering opportunities for you to get involved with.
Culture Liverpool says “The volunteering programme gives people the chance to be at the heart of this iconic event, contributing to making history in Liverpool and representing our city’s long culture of welcoming the world with open arms.”
Around 500 roles have been created to support the event’s delivery, with volunteers located in the City Centre, Liverpool ONE, the Pier Head and at key transport hubs. The majority of volunteering opportunities will take place in the week running up to the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2023. Duties will include scanning event tickets, meeting and greeting visitors, welcoming artists to backstage areas of the Eurovision Village and much more.
The following four roles are currently being advertised and you can find out more about each via the links below:
Please note that none of the roles will be arena-based.
Volunteering is an opportunity to meet new people, gain skills and make great memories. It is a rewarding experience to feel part of a team and to have contributed to an event that will be talked about for decades.
To apply, you need to be 18 years of age, have the right to volunteer in the UK and be available for several volunteering shifts. You can read all the requirements here.
All applications are welcome. The ambition is to create a diverse and inclusive volunteering team, with a blend of local volunteers and volunteers with knowledge of the Ukrainian language and culture.
To apply, visit eurovision-2023.teamkinetic.co.uk. Applications will close at midnight on Tuesday, 14 February.
We are really keen to share the stories and experiences from any of our community who join the volunteering programme. So, if your application is successful we would love to hear from you – get in touch by contacting our Student Communications team.
