Volunteer
The Guild have hundreds of great volunteering opportunities available throughout the year you can get involved in.
On their site right now, they have opportunities to help identify animals in camera traps, coach children’s football and create Tik Toks to support women refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking.
Eurovision 2023 are also looking for volunteers to help scan tickets, greet visitors and welcome artists backstage.

Be a good neighbour – bins and noise
Although students are valuable Liverpool residents, to help make sure everyone’s needs in the community are met, we all need to think about noise levels and help keep our amazing city tidy.
Have a think about:
- How late is reasonable? Make sure you’re not disturbing your neighbour’s sleep.
- Be aware of noise levels when walking through neighbourhoods after a party or a night out
- Keep your property clean and don’t dump rubbish. Check when your bin collection day
Remember that as a student you need to adhere to our Policy on Student Conduct and Discipline.

Litter pick
As well as meeting new people and increasing your daily steps, litter picking can give you a great sense of achievement. You can find a litter pick near you via the Wellbeing Liverpool website.
4. Residents Group
Have a say in your community by joining your local residents’ group. Some of the key groups are listed below:
- Dales residents
- Friends of Greenbank Park
- The Avenues Neighbourhood Network
- Kensington Residents Group
5. Reporting problems
If you experience problems within your local community, whether it be noise or other anti-social behaviour, you can report this to Environmental Health.
